  • Training

Developing your craft comes with a combination of teaching, training, practise, and feedback. The type of training you embark on depends on where you are along the path of your writing journey. Options may include anything from a Masters at UEA, a Faber Academy course on writing novels, a writing retreat, or an introduction to creative novel writing like that run by Goldfinch (Creative Writing CW01).

  • Support Network

So you’ve developed your craft? How are you keeping yourself and your writing informed and relevant?

Support, feedback, and guidance is essential, especially in the relatively solitary world of the writer. Which podcasts are you listening to? Writing groups a member of? Where are you getting feedback on your writing, and how much is that costing you? How are you approaching editors for development as well as copy and line editing?
