Welcome to our friendly, inclusive Charm Writers’ Group. Whatever stage of your writing journey, whether you’re just starting out, or if you’re a published author, come along and meet other writers, in the coolest bookshop in town.

Our group meets EVERY OTHER THURSDAY, between 7:30pm and 9:30pm,

There’s a licensed bar, and we all know how writing and wine go well together. But a cup of tea can be just as fun, especially when paired with friendly company…

If you would like to join us, and expand your writing horizons, please email Lou to introduce yourself, or just come along and meet the gang.

Our aim is to make these sessions productive. For those interested, we will place you in small groups within which members will listen to a reading from one member and provide constructive, immediate feedback. Different people will read each time. If you don’t want to, or aren’t ready, there is no pressure to read, simply come along and take part.

The general format is as below:

Duration: Ongoing

When: Thursdays 7:30 til 9:30pm

Frequency: Every two weeks

Cost: Free (but please buy a drink, a book, something to keep us going…!)

Delegates: No maximum (split into small groups)

                  7:30 til 8:00 drinks and updates/ news

                  8:00 til 9:15 reading and feedback (for those interested to do this)

                  9:15 til 9:30 wrap-up
