At Goldfinch, we are passionate about all things literary and creative. Our Creative Writer member area provides a window on that creative world, and a doorway for those of you with creative ambitions. The creative writing and publishing industry can be very opaque, but a bit of guidance from those on the inside can help you plan your pathway, avoid some pitfalls, hone your craft, and perhaps make some friends along the way.
The Creative Writer member area is for those who have signed up to one of our courses, or purchased support services. The resources in these pages will grow with time. We will continue to populate with creative writing materials, guides, links, examples and other information generated by the Goldfinch business in pursuit of providing that doorway into the creative writing and publishing world. And your membership is a lifetime membership. All new resources are free to members.
Our Introductory Creative Writing Course is kicking off again this May 2025 with two 4-week modules, of which you can choose just one or both.
Introductory Creative Writing Course

A face-to-face course of 4-weeks Creative Writing with Lou Morrish. Come and learn, surrounded by books, what makes an engaging character; how important is plotting; craft believable dialogue; setting, tenses, and much more. Entry to the course comes with lifetime access to the online content at Goldfinch, as well as a network with whom to keep in contact as you continue to develop your craft after the course.
This is MODULE 1 of the introductory course.
